Butibori CETP Private Limited is a joint venture of SMS Infrastructure Limited., Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) & Butibori Manufactures’ Association, inaugurated by Mrs. Sharvaree Gokhale, IAS, Chairperson, MPCB & Principle Secretary (Environment Dept.), Gov. of Maharashtra on Jun 7, 2006.
Butibori CETP Pvt. Limited. (BCPL) is a 5 MLD capacity Common Effluent Treatment Plant committed to treat effluent from various industries of MIDC Butibori & MIDC Hingna. The inlet & Outlet characteristics of BCPL are regulated by MPCB. About 400 more industries have joined BCPL for the treatment and safe disposal of their effluent. Major effluent generating industries discharge their effluent through underground pipe lines of MIDC, while remaining industries send their effluent by tanker. Activated sludge process with diffused Aeration system is given to the Industrial Effluent and final Treated effluent is discharged to High Rate Transpiration System (HRTS) site which is designed by NEERI, Nagpur and developed in 25 Hectors of land by MIDC.
